Kathmandu, June 16: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel has said that education will not only transfer knowledge but also transform it into a place of knowledge creation due to alternative learning methods.
Responding to the discussion on Appropriation Bill, 2077 BS in today's meeting of the National Assembly, Minister Pokharel said that the focus would be on student welfare and the transformation of households into small schools would lead to knowledge transfer along with knowledge transfer.
He urged all the state and local levels to implement the Alternative Learning Facilitation Guideline, 2077, which was issued on June 3 due to the Corona epidemic and bandhbandi.

Minister Pokharel said that the ministry was working to provide free education up to secondary level and was bringing regulations for the implementation of the Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2075 BS.
He expressed satisfaction over the increase in some budgets even though the budget for education was not sufficient. He said that long-term measures have been taken to solve the problem of shortage of teachers and teaching volunteers would be mobilized by providing subsistence allowance for the time being.
